Shopify and event automation in Carrollton, TX

Shopify and event automation for a Carrollton game store or retailer means the owner adds an event to Google Calendar and the product, the sign-up form, and the check-in sheet appear on their own. There is no spreadsheet to build for each event, and nobody retypes player names and game IDs at the door. This is the workflow Boardwalk Games runs today.

    What's included

    • An Assessment of your event workflow first, at a fixed price
    • A calendar entry that creates the product in Shopify
    • A sign-up form that asks for exactly what that game's sheet needs
    • Answers that land in the sheet at the moment of purchase
    • Staff verifying at the door instead of typing
    • Everything running in the store's own environment
    • Handover with documentation

    Price

Starts with the AI Assessment at $997

The build is quoted from the roadmap and depends on how your events and store are set up. The Assessment never credits toward it.

    Is this for you?

    This is for you if

    • You run weekly events with sign-ups on paper or in a spreadsheet
    • Staff retype names and game-specific IDs at check-in
    • Sign-ups and payment happen in the store only
    • You already sell on Shopify

This is not for you if

    • You run one event a year.
    • You do not use Shopify and do not want to.
    • You want a ticketing platform rather than your own store. That is a fine choice, but it is not this.

    How it works

    01

    The Assessment

A kickoff interview, then we map the workflow for one event cycle, from the moment it is posted to the moment the last player is checked in.

    02

    The build

Calendar to product to form to sheet, built in your environment and tested against the games you actually run.

    03

    First live event, then handover

Your staff run the first event on the new workflow, we go over how it went with them, fix what it shows, and hand it over.

    Before: a spreadsheet per event

Boardwalk Games runs events daily. Before the build, players signed up on paper and paid in the store, because there was no way to pay online. Each event had its own spreadsheet, and the owner built every one by hand, along with its calendar entry.

Check-in was the slowest part. Each game identifies its players differently: a Magic ID for Magic, a Bandai ID for Bandai, and other fields for other games. Staff typed every player's name and the right ID into that event's sheet, one player at a time, at the door.

    After: a calendar entry

Now the owner enters the game, format, date, and entry fee in Google Calendar, and that is the only typing anyone does. A workflow running in the store's own environment sees the new event and creates the Shopify product, with a sign-up form that asks for exactly what that game's sheet needs. When a customer buys a seat, their answers land in the event's sheet, and staff check names against it instead of typing them.

The owner no longer spends about 20 hours a month setting up events. Staff save 15–20 hours a week at check-in across three people, roughly $1,000–$1,300/mo in staff time at $15/hour, before counting the owner. Those are the case study's figures, read conservatively. Players now sign up and pay online when they buy their seat.

    What it is not

There is no price list on this page, because no two stores run events the same way. The build depends on how many games you run, what each sheet asks for, and how your Shopify store is set up, so it is quoted from the roadmap after an Assessment at $997. The Assessment never credits toward the build, and you keep the report whether or not we build it. If your events are too few for a build to pay for itself, the report tells you that too.

It is also not a new platform to rent. Players buy from the store you already run, the sheets stay yours, and the workflow belongs to you after handover. Stores in Plano, Frisco, and across DFW start the same way, with the Assessment first, every time.
